Environmental Protection Society (EPS) organized an Inception Workshop with Government Stakeholders at Pameer hotel Mingora on May 30, 2023. The main objective of the workshop was to orient the representative of the concern government agencies on LIFE-II and Charity water projects launched by EPS in district swat recently. Another objective of the workshop was to strengthen coordination with these stakeholders in relation to the implementation of the project activities.

Representatives from the District Administration, Public Health Engineering department (PHED), Tehsil Municipal Administration, LG&RDD, Social Welfare Department, Education Department, Health department, WSSCS Swat, Environmental Protection Agency, Forest Department, Agriculture department, District Disaster Management Authority, Rescue: 1122 and Press club, etc. participated in the workshop.

Mr. Masroor Ahmad, Acting Executive Director – EPS welcomed the participants and threw light on the EPS background and its partnership with IRC for the last five years. Mr. M Haseeb Khan DPM had a detail presentation on LIFE-II activities, lesson learn and expectations from the stakeholders. Mr. Suleman had a detail presentation on Charity Water Project with its goals and objectives. The workshop was held in the interactive way, the participants took active part in the workshop activities and group exercises, and promised for close coordination in the implementation of project activities.
