REHABILITATION CAMPS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES Environmental Protection Society (EPS) organized 25 days Free Rehabilitation Camps for the People with Disabilities from 4th to 28th of July 2011 in three Union Councils of District Swat i.e. U/C Kanju, U/C Koza Bandai and U/C Tootano Bandai.

10 Days Workshop on Sustainable Livelihood & Enterprise Development for Vulnerable Groups EPS Disability team attended 10 days workshop on “Sustainable Livelihood & Enterprise Development for Vulnerable Groups” from May 17-28, 2011 at ECI Islamabad. The aim of the workshop was to build the capacity of the staff regarding Sustainable Livelihood & Enterprise Development for Vulnerable Groups and to provide them an opportunity to practice these guidelines for business incubations in the targeted areas.

EPS Units

In light of the structural changes approved by the Executive Council of EPS, one unit was removed while two new units were included for proper functioning of the organization.

Administration and finance
This unit looks after the day to day affairs of the Society and manages its finances through a full time A & F Manager and support staff. See more.
 
Research and publication
The research and publication unit of EPS is to see into the matters that fall in the scope of research and publication. This unit is responsible for the publication of the quarterly Newsletter/Magazine of the Society “Udyana Today”, Annual Reports, Area Resource Center and Student Researches. . See more
 
Technical and Engineering
Since its inception in 1991, EPS has been working closely with the communities of the region, which is because of its belief that the activities initiated at community’s level are more viable and sustainable, provided that they are technically supported. In the light of the field experiences, this fact came to the surface that the local communities can play pivotal role in the physical development of their respective areas, provided they are properly mobilized and their developmental initiatives are technically supported. Technical and Engineering Unit provides technical support to the activities of EPS and its partner CBOs. EPS aims to identify a community through the Technical Unit where it can develop infrastructure best suited to the area and the need of the people. Technical Unit also carries surveys and provides support and estimates to CBOs and communities at their requests.

In 2004 by the decision of the Council of EPS the T&E unit was authorized to provide technical inputs to private sector on payment. The unit has the capacity and capability to develop plans for houses, other buildings and towns, do physical surveys, cost estimates and supervision of construction. See more
 
Monitoring and Evaluation
This unit is entrusted with the task of monitoring and evaluation of the projects of EPS with collaboration with different donors. The unit works under the monitoring strategy of EPS and provide guidance to the project heads and feedback to the donors. See more
 
Human Resource

This unit is meant to look after the human resource of the organization and to capacitate the Community Based Organizations in their endures for sustainable development. Beside free trainings for the CBOs linked with EPS this unit also imparts trainings on payment to CBOs formed by other projects/NGOs on demand. This unit is headed by Human Resource Coordinator.
