River Swat Conservation Project (RSCP):

EPS run the River Swat Conservation Project in collaboration with UNDP SGP GEF Islamabad. The project lasted for four years from July 1998 to June 2002 with approximate value of Rs. 2655000/-
|
Aims of the Project:
|
River Swat Conservation Project (RSCP) aimed to conserve River Swat against pollution, illegal encroachments and illegal fishing practices with the active involvement of local communities, hoteliers, concerned government functionaries and other stakeholders.

Activities:

Pollution survey of river Swat.

Ecological study of River Swat.

Organization of Seminars/Workshop and Roundtable

Development of Educational materials (brochure, leaflets, display boards and Documentary film).

Socio-economic survey in selected villages
-
Formation of Tehsil Level committees of CBOs for collective actions

River Swat protection cell meetings.
-
RSCP task force visits of the target areas and reporting to the quarters concern.

Development of Land Use Plan and Zoning Guidelines of the Target Area
