REHABILITATION CAMPS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES Environmental Protection Society (EPS) organized 25 days Free Rehabilitation Camps for the People with Disabilities from 4th to 28th of July 2011 in three Union Councils of District Swat i.e. U/C Kanju, U/C Koza Bandai and U/C Tootano Bandai.

10 Days Workshop on Sustainable Livelihood & Enterprise Development for Vulnerable Groups EPS Disability team attended 10 days workshop on “Sustainable Livelihood & Enterprise Development for Vulnerable Groups” from May 17-28, 2011 at ECI Islamabad. The aim of the workshop was to build the capacity of the staff regarding Sustainable Livelihood & Enterprise Development for Vulnerable Groups and to provide them an opportunity to practice these guidelines for business incubations in the targeted areas.

Establishment of Technical Unit:
In collaboration with WaterAid Britain EPS established Technical Unit in October 1998 with approximate value of Rs. 500000/-

Aims of the Project:
The Unit provides technical support to self-help physical development initiatives of the CBOs of the area. The Unit extends its services to the CBOs in surveying, designing, cost estimate and supervision.

Activities:
Surveyed, designed, prepared estimates and supervised Shagai sanitation schemes in Amankot, Banr and Chalyar. It also carried out Mingora Sanitation Survey and Land Use Planning of Kalam area. The unit was also successful enough to provide technical assistance in shape of survey, design, and estimates preparation to more than 10 CBOs of the region.
