Peasants Workers of Islampur and Butkarda met with SAP-Pakistan Team, Ms. Naeema Malik and Mr. Allah Noor who were on monitoring visit to Swat in connection with the collaboaration of EPS and SAP-P. The team was accompanied by Mr. Nasir Ali, Coordinator EPS and Mr. Fayyaz Ahmad, Monitoring Coordinator EPS.

The Technical Unit of EPS formed two Bio-Sand Filter in Chalyar.

The Training Needs Assessment of the CBOs of Swat was started by EPS in light of the decision of the Council of EPS in its recent meeting.

Zilla Nazim Swat, Mr. Jamal Nasir Khan, came to the office of EPS to sign the Banner on GCAP Millenium Goals displayed at EPS office. The Nazim also visited different sections of EPS. After the meeting he put his signature on the thirty feet long banner. He was accompanied by the Zilla Naib Nazim, Mr. Sadiq Khan.

The second meeting of the NGOs of Swat with Zilla Nazim and DCO Swat was held in the Conference Room of District Adminstration. More than thirty participants of NGOs and CBOs participated in the Meeting. Agenda of the meeting was Tourism development, Disaster Preparedness and sharing of data to avoid duplication.

CARE International organized a two-day workshop on Emergency Preparedness Planning on 9th and 10th of June 2006. All partners and CARE team at Islamabad and Mansehra alongwith CARE personnel from other countries participated in the workshop

The Tehsil Nazim Tehsil Swat visited the office of EPS and signed MDGs on a 30*10 large BANNR fixed at the office.

Environmental Protection Society (EPS), Swat initated signature campaign as part of Global Call to Action against Poverty at its office in Saidu Sharif, Swat. People from different walks of life were invited to the event.
