PPAF team visited EPS Office Swat from 25th till the 26th of April 2011 for the monitoring visit of EPS Disability component and to discuss the next steps of the programme for the successful implementation of the activities and on due time. The team comprising of Ms. Maliha Babar (Manager Disability), Ms. Shaheen (ME) and Mr. Yasir Ali (GME). The team was welcome by Supervisor Disability.
The purpose of the visit was overseeing the project activities, the impact of awareness sessions regarding improvement of living standard of PWDs, planning for conducting the medical camps for the PWDs, Meetings with the skilled PWDs in the community and the beneficiaries for business incubation and enterprise development training.
PPAF team commenced the proceedings by holding a meeting with the EPS staff dealing with the Disability component at the EPS head office Swat. The Supervisor Disability briefed them on the progress of the activities in their area. All aspects of the project came under consideration and the latest updates on each of them were shared.
The meeting was followed by field visits in the Union Councils of Kanju and Koza Bandai. PPAF team visited different hamlets of the targeted UCs and met with many skilled PWDs. Ms. Maliha Babar and her team highly appreciated their efforts. Some beneficiaries were also met for business incubation in future.
At the end of the day, the team came back to EPS office and meet with the Executive Director of EPS and conducted a meeting with him. They highly appreciated the efforts of EPS Disability team.
